Introduction
Self-improvement (or self-help) are present in many shapes and sizes; sometimes it’s physical in nature (a self-help book, having a massage, painting with watercolors), or spiritual in nature (flower essences, meditation both physical and spiritual in nature, etc).
Seven of the simplest and effective self-help options that I’ve used successfully to assist soothe mind, body, and spirit, are:
Ways to Soothe your Mind, Soul, and Spirit
1. Meditation techniques
A wonderful self-help tool that greatly optimizes overall health and wellbeing. There are various techniques to settle on from such as:
- Visually guided meditations
- Candle meditation;
- Breathing meditation;
- Crystal meditation;
- Writing meditation (alternating using dominant and non-dominant hand);
- Walking meditation;
- Body scanning; and
A self-love meditation includes either color; breath work; aromatherapy; etc.
2. Painting with watercolors, pastels or oil paints
Express your uniqueness through art. This is often an exquisite self-help tool to use for inner peace, letting go, and creating something new lives.
3. Vibrational essences
A part of ancient wisdom, vibrational essences are utilized in healing to help with the removal of emotional blocks and patterns, also as resolving issues from the past.
Essences are generally in liquid form and may even be utilized in creams, ointments, and oils (I sometimes combine mine with an aromatherapy oil blend).
Vibrational substances are referred from light (sun, moon), healing energy (universal or spiritual energy, etc), plants (flowers, stems, leaf, etc), mineral (crystals, gold, etc), environmental (sacred places), etc.
Some samples of essences available (there are many) to explore further as a self-help tool are:
Flowers, Gems, Shell, Coral, Sea, and Goddess essences.
4. Journal writing
This may be a fabulous self-help healing tool connecting you together with your true essence, your spiritual self.
Find yourself a special journal/diary to write down in; something special to write with (can be brightly colored inks or the more traditional black, blue or reds) and make a date with yourself to try to some journal writing every morning at an equivalent time (before rising out of bed).
I’ve practiced journal writing as a self-help tool for several years and still find it, to the present day, one among the best self-help and self-improvement tools around – and it costs nothing!
Write out your worries, feeling, emotions, loneliness, or whatever you are thinking in your mind. When you’ve done that write in your journal the thrill, enthusiasm, and keenness you plan to experience for the day ahead, the projects you’re performing on, friends you’ll catch up with, food you’ll eat, possible miracles which may happen, shopping to be done, your workday, etc.
5. Get Outside
Have you been cooped up? When you spent your most of the time outside with nature? Outdoors really boosts our mental health and mood thus increase productivity. These in turn will soothe your soul, making you feel relax.
Take a walk, without any digital device. Change your environment getting outside. Fresh air touch the skin on your face. It’ll feel good.
6. Have a massage
Treat yourself to some bodywork such as sort of a Swedish massage. Swedish massage is the traditional soft tissue sort of massage, however, if you’re after something a bit more unique for healing mind, body, and spirit you'll choose:
Aromatherapy massage – there’s nothing effective like this one using essential oils for body, mind, and spirit.
Ka Huna– soft, relaxing, soothing, healing and stretching massage (even just watching this massage will truly relax you);
Reflexology – therapeutic hand and foot massage;
Reiki – hands-on energy healing.
Vichy Shower – warm water is directed over your body, gently massaging it (this is soothing, especially after a salt scrub).
Acupressure – sort of bodywork supported Chinese Meridian theory
Ayurvedic – a part of a standard detoxification and rejuvenation program of India called Panchakarma – vigorous massage with warm oils and herbs to get rid of toxins, is calming and balancing, and facilitates profound inner peace.
Warm stone massage – warm smooth stones are placed on the body and utilized by the therapist’s hands.
You should be given small smooth rocks to carry in either hand, at the top of the massage the therapist held your feet and ‘tuned’ you, which seemed like a clarinet rising and down the scales. You'll feel relaxed and energized at an equivalent time is an irony. it had been amazing.
7. Eat Nourishing Foods
One of the simplest ways to soothe your mind, body, and spirit from the within out is to enjoy nourishing foods. Healthy eating should not be boring in fact, it should be delicious and enjoyable.
The nourishing foods you eat have an enormous impact on your feeling, so consider your health and happiness first when choosing your meals.
